I finally got the pair of Lavenders I've been waiting on for a couple of weeks. Here's a pic. They are almost a year old

She's an 8 month old black sex link. Her name is Copper. I think she did good, next time maybe she'll do a little better

This is a few from incubator hatch last week.

She's pretty! Wanted to give an update on my hatch.....yesterday was hatch day. We ended up with 3 out of 6 eggs set. I checked the ones that didn't hatch and one was a dud, never started so I'm calling it 3 out of 5. Not bad for her first time being broody!!

I need a little help from the experts. What is the going rate for a year old laying hen and a Rooster of the same age?? I don't want to get ripped off!! Thanks. Both Lavender

Hello all, I just read through most of this thread and am very excited to have my first Lavender Orpington chicks due to hatch in 2 weeks! By chance I found 6 eggs locally to put under a broody hen so hopefully all goes well........Aren't lavenders the most beautiful??!?!
