A trail cam-great idea! I have an IP cam I use for my goats/sheep at lambing/kidding never thought to use it with the ducks to see who is laying. At the moment if just one of my ducks would be laying I'd be ecstatic. Anyone have ideas on bringing ducks back into lay after August molt? I have...

And if your hatch goes well perhaps we can swap some chicks or eggs at some time to diversify genetics. Where did you get your eggs from?

I'm curious if anyone has shipped eggs from altitude to lower altitude and what the hatching rate has been? I read somewhere that this is more successful than the other way, but I'd like to know people's real life experiences with this?

I see a lot of bantam cochins at the 4H fairs-they're easy to handle, don't take up much space etc. After seeing them I had to get some LOL. I hope to have calico /mille fleur cochin hatching eggs this spring and actually do have several roos available right now. I'm a 4H leader here in Park...

So I assume the South side is the low side in the pic? Keep us updated on progress for sure? In my case the south side is the high side of my structure so I don't know if I should berm or not. I'm hoping my flock will help keep the greenhouse a little warmer a little longer, and that all the...

I'm about to reconstruct our greenhouse (it's falling apart). Did you berm your greenhouse? If so I'd love to see what you've done so far..I'm attaching mine to a lean-to we're building for the sheep. It's on a slope so I was thinking of digging out the high side to level the greenhouse floor. I...

Just thought I'd post here...I have some Ancona ducks for sale. Most of them are from Boondockers Farm - I had to order more than I wanted to get them shipped so I have 5 to sell. 3 are Black and white, one that may be silver (it's very light) and I think one blue. They are 8 weeks old...

I'm considering purchasing some Mille Fleur Cochins from Fancyfeathers. They would be shipped from South Dakota and are 3-4 weeks old, straight run. Shipped cost will end up about $15.00 bird. She is ready to ship them now. I don't need all of them and was wondering if anyone here would be...

I posted 3 weeks ago that I had received some shipped eggs and was inquiring about hatching at altitude. Sadly, most of the eggs didn't develop at all. I opened them up and the yolk was totally runny. I kept one that looked good and one maybe...and this morning I have a PIP! Yeah! It's really...

Bantam Cochin. Thanks I'd appreciate any help I can get! I don't expect much but thought I'd give it a try. I received 18 eggs but one was cracked. I'll patch it but I'll doubt that one will survive. It seems many at altitude get their eggs to lockdown only to never have them pip-some say too...
