Who else is waiting for that first egg?

@chickendreams248/15 this time of year sounds a lot like what I saw on the how many eggs did you get today thread where lots of people where lementing shorter days and molt. I am going to add a few easter eggers in the spring so hopefully I can get some blue and greens just for fun. Since the...

Who else is waiting for that first egg?

I feel your pain two of my nine RIR hatched April 15 started last week and only one of my three Barred rocks that are three weeks older than that have started. I think the shorter days are not helping the late bloomers. BTW if anyone figures out how to keep them from pooping in the boxes I want...

It may not be true see my post my 28/29 weekers left me three eggs tonight what a way to start. Now I can hope for the nine 24 week old RIR will start. I heard if they start they are not as prone to be slow as older birds their first winter.

Who else is waiting for that first egg?

Could you split that with me? I am unobservant in general and with the sixty five plus hour weeks I am working it is all I can do to just see if they go out OK the hour or so I get home to get them free ranging before roosting time. Not that they roost perse since they huddle on the roosting...
