that's her, I'm not 100% sure but with the brownish stripe down the back do you think silkie x Rhode island red sounds right?
and she is 100% Black, black skin, comb, beak. My novice guess would be the silkie x black Australorp. Im also not 100% sure because I was quick to judge but I believe...
Yay, 1 out of the 15 has a perfect silkie foot! Pretty sure it's a black Australorp x white silkie cross
she's staying with me, I'm dying to see what that looks like
looks like 13 are out! hard to get them all in the same shot,a few fully zipped and a couple that just pipped.this is my second hatch and wayy better than the first. the ducks have no pips but i know they take a bit longer, kinda wondering if the chicks kicking them around will be bad for them...
Had to leave early this morning so I didn't have time to take pictures but it looked like 10 hatches In the wee hours of the night! Some healthy Australorp x amberlink crosses and some yellow ones that may be silkie crosses
Lockdown day! I guess I had a bit of an early start lol
Two were infertiles that I missed somehow the three khaki eggs have lots of movement. The 21 mix breed chicken eggs are showing lots of movement and great development. So excited for duckies
Down to 26 from 41, weeded out the infertiles and 3 bad blood rings and one that was apparently cracked and oozed out all over the Turner, that's gonna stink
I have a full 41 in the 'bator 5 days I'm so far! Power went out the other day and looking like a few blood rings, but a bunch of weird crosses and I'm hoping 3 khaki Campbells should make it!
