If it is Capone, something tells me your neighbor did something not so neighborly to "keep up". When you first said he'd gone missing but there was no evidence, it got me wondering whether someone who knew of his story and how personable he'd become had made off with him. Please keep us posted.
He looks AMAZING! I'm glad he's recovered so well. As for breed, my guess is that he's a mix but someone else may have a much better idea about what breed he could be. It's a good sign that your roo wasn't the least bit bothered by him but you may end up with a permanent house chicken anyway
If you want to try keeping both boys he'd have to be kept out of sight from the rest of your flock. He would need his own coop and run away from everyone else. If he ends up with his own bachelor pad you could keep him with another roo...again as long as the can't see or be seen by the girls...

It is definitely looking more like a chicken and like some of those feathers may be starting to fill back in on her face. Also, I love how she sleeps. Thanks for the updates and new pics!
I couldn't help but search lol . It's so odd looking, I thought there was no way it was a chicken! I had your pictures side by side with every image I could compare them to. Crazy I know.
She's lucky she was found by someone who knows about chickens and who actually cares enough to...
I spent over an hour looking up images of wild birds of prey that this little one resembles. It's driving me crazy. There are some types of vultures (I can't remember if they were New World Vultures or Old World Vultures) with funny combs. The closest thing I found was an albino black...
