    Try just the yolk of the hard boiled egg first. Mash it up. It's funny because when they are young and you put something new in, a lot of times it takes them a while to try it.... and really all it takes is one chicken... then the rest will follow ;)

    Start grit as soon as they start eating things that aren't water soluble, like hay, scratch, spaghetti, grapes etc. egg yolks and yogurt do not require grit

    A friend of mine told me to give them a few cooked spaghetti noodles and watch them go nuts... I'll be trying that soon :)

    No, I have mine the yolk of a hard boiled egg at 3 days old. Don't be surprised if they are hesitant at first.... They can be leery of new foods at first :)

    My week old chicks have refused plain yogurt and egg yolks! However, they went crazy over a ritz cracker my daughter dropped in their brooder haha!
