They definitely aren't for everyone. I feel the same way about poodles. Love the way they look but they don't fit my needs, or wants. So I admire them from afar.
Didn't see many until the last 10 years or so. They are becoming more popular. They are an option if someone prefer that type. It is interesting to see how the American breeding of boxers has deviated from the original German type.
That's a German type boxer. They are a bit bigger than the American type, which I personally prefer. The German type look big and like they probably drool.

They are so portable. They fold up into a tiny carry on. :lol: My rat Chihuahua used to make Rosie sleep in her bed while she took the bigger more roomy bed.
They are basically the same in my experiences. There are bigger boxers and smaller ones. Mine have ranged from 50-70 pounds.
I think Brew is similar to a boxer except maybe with less shenanigans. Boston mature quicker and settled down earlier. It just depends what you want. I need a boxer...
They are perpetual puppy. They play and run amok for many years. Most slow down about age 10. They like to snuggle, and throw toys around. They gallop about like wild broncos, hopping and twirling. They love car rides, chasing kitties. They smell good, and are easy to keep.

I've had 3 boxers in my lifetime. One at a time, because they are so special there can only be one. Kinda like the Highlander for those old enough to remember those movies. :lol:
I only keep female dogs, and it's always iffy to keep more than one female boxer because they get jealous. Boys...
