    Ivermectin for DOGS for Heartworms?

Bear, not everyone wants to dose there dogs with that much. Cloud asked for a needle small enough for .013 cc/ml not .1 cc/ml. To dose .1 cc/ml or 1/10th of a cc/ml you can use a 1 cc/ml needle marked of in tenths but to dose smaller you need something smaller. Insulin needles marked off in...

An insulin needle from the pharmacy is your best bet. U100 3/10 cc insulin syringes come with half unit markings. The marking look like the ones on the left of this pic .013 cc/ml is 1.3 units. Everywhere I found that did the math said that a 100 pound dog only needs .027 CCs to match Heartguard. That is a bit more than 1/4th of what I give a 10 pound dog for mange. So there is a big spread in what people give.

I use 1% Ivermectin sterile solution for cattle as swine. I despence it with a 1/2 cc insulin needle. ODing most dogs would take some effort but yes it can be done. Now if you were trying to use a 3cc needle from the feed store it would be hard to do. I inject it in to dressing. Bred soaks it...

    Ivermectin for DOGS for Heartworms?

Thought I would add that the standard vet treatment for heart-worm is to inject the dog with a arsenic compound. Its poisoning the dog an hoping it kills the worms but not the dog. It can easily kill the dog. It can also fail to kill the worms just as easily. So my question is, is it the best...
