My e-bay eggs are on the way!, 8 La Bresse eggs from Phoenix AZ, and 8 Copper Maran eggs, and 8 Olive Egger eggs from central CA. I'm so excited, it's been 20 years since I hatched any chicken eggs, always had good luck at it, I've had such lousy hatching luck on the call ducks the past couple of years, it will hopefully be nice to hatch some chicks without dead in the shell failures. :) I'm dying to keep bidding on thos 6 white cornish eggs, but don't want to bid over 30 and ship a couple thousand miles.

I have eggs on the way too! Orloffs, to put under my broody hen! I can't wait for them to arrive!

Best of luck with your eggs!

I have Ebay eggs coming, Marans and OEs from NJ and SKY BLUE Ameraucana eggs from from Georgia. I've known Jean from Jersey for many years, great person. I moved to the Wilds of PA 2 years ago, couldn't bring the flock. But a mansion coop is being built and I need to fill it. I just hope the eggs are in by Saturday. It's hard to believe its been 3 years since I have hatched eggs. This time I'm going to be more diligent on my timing.

I so want to hatch again! We can start a EBay hatch-a-long.

Sounds like a great idea!

Please read this article on shipped eggs. They are harder to hatch and require special instructions. I've had good luck with shipped eggs following the advice here:

Good luck everyone!

Thank you for the information. I'm using it right now! My eggs came two days early! I'm so excited! They were suppose to come on Friday, but I don't mind them being early.

I'm still wondering whether these eggs would have a better chance in a newbies reptile incubator (it can be used as a chick incubator as well, it is actually very nice) or put under a silkie hen who may soil them or accidentally not cover them all (this morning she wasn't covering her eggs she is currently sitting on all the way). If I give her the orloff eggs I would put the eggs she is currently on in the incubator.

Any suggestions?

Post office called at 7:30 this a.m., eggs here! It's a miracle they arrived on the same day, the La Bresse eggs were suppose to be here a week ago, but the seller said her hens weren't co-oporating so it took another week to get enough eggs. The light browns are the La Bresse, the dark the Copper Marans and the green the Olive Eggers. Bless the seller of the Copper's and Olive Eggers, she sent me 3 extra evgs.

Thank you RubyNala for the shipped egg instructions, I think these eggs will hatch real good because I ordered them close enough to home that they were shipped by truck only and never went for an airplane ride. Those altitude changes on an airplane ride are best avoided for hatching eggs if at all possible.

Just for the heck of it, there's a local add on Craigslist for mixed breed fertile eggs, $3.00 a dozen, so I'm gonna make sure all 46 slots in my LG are filled up. :)
