Hello,
Wanted to see if I can get an idea of what breed chicken I have here. I purchased what I thought were two leghorns, 1 male 1 female, from my local feed store. The rooster is turning into a nice looking leghorn but I don't know what the hen is exactly. She's white with silver or what might be called white legs. She carries herself high on her haunches and has a slim build to her. Her face is what strikes me the most. When looking at her in the face, if it weren't for her size, I'd swear she was a pigeon. Docile bird, about the same size as her leghorn counterpart. I've looked at the breed charts, her slim build and the way she stands looks like some sort of Game. I guess it's hard to get a purebred these days with all the crossbreeding that goes on in the chicken yard.

Can you post a picture? How old are they?

I'd say if she was a mix, it wasn't intentional. Usually they mix Leghorns in with other breeds to increase productivity. Most hatcheries wouldn't intentionally cross something into the Leghorns (except maybe Fayoumis), especially anything game which tend to be broody and not nearly as productive.

There is a chance the wrong chick got in the bin or the bin was mislabeled. I think the only big hatchery with Large Fowl Old English Game is Cackle. Did cackle supply your feed store? Otherwise, most hatcheries have OEG Bantams, which would not be the same size as a Leghorn cockerel/rooster.

Here's a pic of the hen along with one of the Leghorn rooster for comparison.
