We bought him with another pullet. They always hang out together and he kinda protects her from the other ladies. Im a little worried that if we get rid of him she'll het bullied/ hurt. Any suggestions?
Are they all integrated together?
Removing the roo will alter the Pecking Order of the flock, but rarely draws blood. If you can't keep the roo, I would just suggest keeping an eye on the flock. If things do get overly violent (blood drawn) isolating the instigator for a few days is usually the best option.
