Hi I have three Peking female ducks and one male I found a first egg this morning and I'm just not quite sure how to tell the difference between an egg you can eat and a hatching egg? Please help!

A hatching egg is one that has been fertilized. An eating egg is a fresh egg fertile or not. You have a drake so the egg is most likely fertile and hatchable if you want a duckling. If you don't want ducklings at this time there is no reason why the egg can not be eaten. Bona petite! Enjoy.
