Little deuce coop

Now you've got me thinking... Maybe I can build a tractor that "docks" to the existing run. It would add coop space and run space, allow for a few more chickens (they could sleep in either coop), and different chickens could head out in the tractor on different days. It would be like a field trip for them.

Um... you mean winter. I want the tractor done by early spring so we can get crackin'!

(Hi, all, I'm the wife of whom he speaks.)

I'm really laughing. My DH said no more contracts until he clears the list.

Meh...if I get the tools out...well, let's just say that works for me... Your coop can hold a couple more just fine. Here's a "simple" tractor.

Ok, so technically these aren't part of the coop, but I built them to compliment the coop.

Compost bin. The top swings open for easy access when adding materials, and can be removed completely for turning.

Storage bench and drink table. Feed, PDZ, and scratch, as well as a bottle of hand sanitizer and a collapsible coop rake fit inside, and when closed, we can sit on it to watch the chickens and put a drink on the table next to us.

Inside the storage bench.
