I now have a small coop and run in my large suburban back yard. It is situated next to our privacy fence.

My chickens have plenty of room to roam, but recently decided to jump on top. I've clipped their wings, but they still can make it up there. I'm afraid they are going to walk along the top of the coop, then hop over the fence in our neighbors yard or end up in the street.

Any ideas how I can make it undesirable for them to jump up there?

You can make a homemade version of coyote rollers with PVC pipe, but if they can get up there with a wing clipped, not letting them free range is the only other option as far as I am aware.

Don't know if you are aware of this but chickens can jump. In fact they can jump quite high (over 8 feet up in the air). I've found that our birds can jump better than they can fly so we don't bother clipping wing feathers. If you can't move the coop further away from the fence, try stringing some heavy fishing line or wires over the coop roof, that will probably stop them from jumping up there.
