After a day and a half vacation, I came home to see my female blue breasted quail with a strange head injury. The very top of her head seems to be bulging, and it looks like her forehead was split but closed up. I don't notice any aggressive behavior ever since I re-placed my agressive male and his queen. Then again I don't have the time to watch them for hours so I won't jump to any conclusions. Also the top of their hutch has a yoga mat so I don't think she got it from that. Is it possible that she flew sideways and hurt her head? I don't have a spare place to put her to heal, so any questions to help you help me, or any suggestions, would be appreciated. Thank you!
