Trying to determine if quail, pheasants, and partridge can be kept in the same area.
The outdoor area is about 20 feet long, 5-6 feet tall, and maybe 12 feet wide. 3 sides are deer fencing layered in both 2 inch and 1 inch chicken wire, and the third butts up against the side of my main coop. The indoor area is an elevated shelf, about 4 feet off the ground, 16 feet long and around 2 feet wide. I currently have 20 3.5 month old chukar, which I will be culling down to a breeding colony of 4-6 birds next week, and I would like to eventually purchase 1 pair of ringneck pheasants and 1 or 2 pairs of quail (not sure what kind of quail, but I want them for meat so probably one of the heavier types).
Will this work? Will I see picking from certain parties? Are the quail too small? Will they breed normally when kept with multiple species? How should I mix feed? (Currently feeding a 22% gamebird grower from a high quality brand)
