Chick with growth

We have a chick that has a growth above its beak near the nose holes. We have never seen something like this. Has anyone else seen this and know what to do? Thanks.

It could be a scrape wound from a sharp edge of a feeder, waterer, or fencing. But sometimes those types of lesions can be from viruses, and can sometimes fall off eventually. A tumor would also be a possibility, so watch it to see if it gets larger. Have you seen any fowl pox in your flock? Pox is usually smaller than that, and there are usually more than one lesion. I would apply some iodine or Vetericyn to the wound daily to help dry it out. Here are some threads with similar growths in that area:
