Sorry I misunderstood your comment. I thought you meant why make a second coop which is why I said because I already have one. It would most certainly be easier just to maintain one coop. If I did decide to use the second it would probably only be for breeding or special circumstances. I also could give special consideration to just buying in hatching eggs every so often rather than even hassle with breeding. Or as the above post specifically indicates bring in additional blue egg layers so trying to maintain pure blue eggs isn't a concern.
