Hi all BYC members! We built our first coop and got 9 lovely French Black Copper Marans chicks this summer. I have been lurking the forums for a long time and finally decided to join! I absolutely L-O-V-E my chicks and never knew just how smart and charismatic they could be. Unfortunately, I ended up with 6 cockerels and 3 pullets and can't keep this much testosterone in the coop, so I will be rehoming some of the gorgeous boys for free soon. Hello to all and can't wait to learn and contribute to this active community!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. A lot of us were lurkers before joining. :eek:) In my personal opinion, the chocolate eggs of the Marans are the prettiest eggs in the chicken world. Congratulations on your new flock! Hope you can find good homes for the boys...will you be getting more girls then? Marans are on my "some day" list of breeds to try, love their egg color.
