What I thought originally was that this bird when developing marans coloring, was a pullet because of the lighter barring.
Now, I'm questioning the sex because of the luxurious green colored feathers sprouting near the tail and by the wings. Also, the comb/wattles are brighter red than her fellows. Note, however this is my only cuckoo marans in the group.
