We were looking to get some more chicks and possibly a duckling this spring, my question is this- can one duckling be raised with chicks, or will it get lonely?hmm.png

Pending input from a duck expert i would say that as they are social birds, they need some of their own kind.

Here's a search i just did on raising them together

They could be raised together if done carefully, but the duckling would be happier with another duckling friend.

Yes they can but they  make a big mess with the water all the time.  I do think a duck would be happier tho with their own kind.  You might have the problem to if you get a male duck he would try and mate with your chickens.  A male duck can kill a hen if he mates with her.
