I love this site and I've been lurking around here for ages lapping up information from the resident chicken geniuses.
I had a small flock when I was growing up. They were bantams and spoiled rotten. My family gave me a pair of young pullets as a housewarming gift when we finally bought our own home almost two years ago. I 'accidentally' bought some more chicks when I went to the feed store(which were supposed to be ameraucana and I don't think they are, but I love them). I keep having conversations with people about how much fun chickens are and how easy the really are to keep and I got this brilliant idea that I would sell some chicks this year. One week into this brilliant idea and I have to admit I am a chick junkie. I want to keep way too many of them.
Here is one of our maybe-ameraucanas!
And THIS is what happens when you order a hatchery assortment. If anyone can identify some of these give it a whirl. Hah!
I know. There's a duck in there. I indentified that with no problem!
Hi, BYC! It's nice to be among fellow chicken people.
