The chicken is Banee Rooster, he's under a year old. He's always been really friendly and I hate to see him like this because it's like he's a part of the family. He has been like this for about a week now. He looks healthy but he just can't walk, it's like he's paralyzed but he can moe his legs.I checked for swelling but couldn't find anything. I already cleaned his ears out with peroxide and seperated him from the other chickens. My mom was taking care of him but she thinks its too late and wants to put him down, so I took him into my hands, is there anything I can do to help him? I really need some answers, so if you know anything about this please let me know A.S.A.P! Thanks!

Welcome to BYC. Does he curl his toes under or sit on his hocks (elbows?) Dehydration, an injury, or a vitamin deficiency are common causes of lameness. Mareks disease can be another. Do you know if he was vaccinated for Mareks? I would keep him in a box or crate near food and water, and give him vitamins with electrolytes in the water (SaveAChick is one of many brands that feed stores carry.) I would definitely try feeding him those for a week or two to see if it helps. Can he move his toes if you stroke them? Is he eating and drinking okay?

He was not vaccinated, he eats and drinks just fine, he stays in the house in a crate with food and water. He sorta sits on his hocks or I lay him on his side. When I stroked his toes his whole leg started shaking, doesn't seem good. Anymore questions or answers?

It is hard to know what is wrong at this point until he has been on the vitamins and you know that he is drinking well. It's early to worry too much about Mareks, so I would let him rest and drink the vitamin water for a week or two. Hopefully he will start to get better.
