I had wenta nd gotten six chicks,3 production reds,3 Rhode islands.
Their about a 2 weeks now,and I am already noticing some roosterly attitude.And the one I named Grumpy is the man in question.

His stance different from the others,and his wings lie beneath his side and are by his butts.He always has his tail upstraight and he is more stand offish and willing to fight my hand.He also doesn't light being confronted by any of his flock members (But their just now beginning to fight now that they have wings).

Also,he had found some feed and he even called the girls over toe at it!That's when I knew,I'm almost positive he's a rooster.

In the past I have seen this behavior twice at the same age. Both birds did grow into roosters.
