So I've found a feed mix....

Last time I visited my local feed mill to buy feed I ordered laying pellets on the inside but there was a new guy loading outside and he gave me the wrong feed. I didn't realize this until I was home and tore into the bag. I've always just fed scratch grains and laying pellets, for many years. But this really caught my attention. It's called Rooster Booster and it says on the tag for roosters. Well needless to say my hens love it! Here's the ingredients tag, what do you all think about it?

Looks like it should be fine for your hens. I prefer a bit more protein, but it's probably the same as your layer. This feed doesn't have added calcium like your layer feed, so you'll just need to supplement with oyster shell.

I've used Purina Game Bird layer on occasion, usually winter & molting... 20% protein....lower than Layena on calcium, but I always have crushed oyster shell available. Hens love it.
