I'm with Banti on the flash issue. Maybe superglue 'em to the top of the run for the best pics?

Yea, dangit. I kinda liked the darkness.

But I'll see what I can do this evening. They usually fly up there earlier than I went out last night, so maybe I can get some without the flash.

Maybe try having someone else hold a flashlight on them and see if you can get a pic without the flash, or as you said, go a bit earlier and see if you can get a dusk pic.
