Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Yes I know It was a lack of the watchful eye . The lack of the ever vigilant . The one thing that we as old timers have by second nature . The gun was supplied by that one thing . It just saddens me that it happens, and it happens to our most valuable resource . Here we have had a rash of break-ins at pawn shops and gun stores .Hundreds of guns fall into the wrong hands . This must be stopped . If you paint cars you have to have a vault for storing paints . Why are these places not made to treat guns the same way . You and I both know there is no substitute , For the responsible gun owner . We /they make all around them safer . No I don' blame the gun ,but the hands that passed the gun .
I'm not so sure that gun shop break-ins are any worse than the gun shop owners & employees who will sell a gun to anyone who walks through the door, regardless of age or criminal record. The unfortunate truth is that criminals don't obey laws, and, like anything else, the crooks will find a way to get what they want. BTW, I'm an NRA Life Member.

Started my two dose Gaba days.... I have three of those coming. So far I have had to take Tylenol to get to sleep. Working on timeing...

My sleep and wake hours were messed up way before I started this whole thing...

After years on the stuff, I found what worked, for me at least, was to take the gabe an hour or two before bed otherwise it doesn't kick in in time and I wind up tossing and turning until it does. If I take it too early however it wears off in the middle of the night, sigh.

Ditto with both of you, totally agree. Up here the "dirtier" world is finding out how trusting and thus vulnerable we are and the past several years there has been a rash of burglaries of gun shops and hunting cabins that have been proven to be by outsiders traveling several hundred miles from the cities to the south. Some of the oldtimer "mom and pop" shops have had to close their doors because they couldn't afford what it would take to turn their little businesses into vaults. the sad truth is lots of us, including myself, that are living rather remote have resorted to obtaining concealed carry permits. Not just to protect from the bears etc. anymore, sigh.

@WVduckchick
I just saw a flock of turkeys meander through the yard (maybe 30' from the sliding door in the basement), into our woods, & across the field on the other side. I've seen a few here before, but never that many; lost count @ 12

Choot 'em! :lol:

I saw a large flock yesterday too. In the pouring rain, out flocking around. Maybe that's a good sign for spring gobbler season!
