Last here was 93 Ben was born November 92 ten weeks old and we had the worst ice storm ever . He was sick and we lost power for a week . No generator neither . I was so upset with the power company

I was so upset with the power companyWe had propane heat and coleman lanterns for light . hung them on steel rods out side the windows . Was bad trees snapped from the weight all over the farm. Fences down cows out . Power lines snapped from the weight of the ice . I have generators now not going through that again .But it was beautiful .
My sister was telling me about one storm in Oklahoma. Branches of the trees would just break off and shatter like glass when they hit the ground.

Lost more than one friend to black ice . Ours is mostly light icing . DW wanted to go to work I said no she went anyway said she was from the north and could on snow . I said this is ice it's different she made it about two miles five fence post stopped her .

Not sure if it was I knew what I was talking about or she didn't know as much as she thought did
I warned Shade about black ice... he didn't listen either... spun out on Natchez Trace and went sideways (driver's door) into a tree... he was lucky to walk away with scratches and a totaled Impala... takes black ice seriously now...
