wondering, when they first pip what does the inside look and feel like?

I'm not sure what you mean. When they pip you can't really see much inside never mind feel it.

my family keeps saying its alive, im not really sure.
Did someone assist? That's not what it normally looks like.

Check with them. That isn't normal. I'd be worried about the membrane drying out.
The way ducklings hatch is to pip a small air hole with their egg tooth and then crack the shell all the way around the large end of the egg so it pops off like a cap. Your egg has definately been cracked by something other than the duckling inside. If you keep the membrane moist and there is movement you might still get it to hatch but if you are in doubt I am thinking it is probably dead. You can push on the duckling to see if it moves or if it is stiff.
