What sounds is the lovely buff duck making? She might be a he with a developing drake curl. If she is quacking, it's just a sticky up tail feather!

Hard to tell who says what, they’re usually both talking, one for sure is way louder than the other and one seems to make clicking sounds idk how to explain it.

I’m gonna say I got lucky also, I love that duck, and so beautiful. So do you think I have a boy? I know my Mallard is a girl they’re very easy to tell.

Like Miss Lydia said, with the different coloured head, it looks like it. And at this age, if it isn't quacking, it's a drake.

I agree it's likely a male. My female doesn't have a head with that shade, hers is pretty much the same as her body, if not lighter
