Any ideas of what type of bantam this is and if the spike is any indication of gender? Thanks! I think it is about 4 weeks old.

Wen I first got on BYC you had to have a certain number of posts before you could upload play pictures. I think it was 10 but I could be wrong. Check BYC rules. Good luck and welcome!

Matt and I just picked up 6 Bantam chicklings at Sano Goat & Sheep Auction. I know they're Bantams, but that's all I know. Finding information on rather these all can from the same family or if they're different breeds has been tough. From what I've read in thinking Bantams come in different colors and that they probably all came from the same family, especially since they're all the same age. Because I read that Bantams don't lay as many eggs I gather that they may have different mothers. Not sure, but here are some pictures for anyone who can give me more information.

(Having issues posting photos...trying to upload from device and it isn't taking me to my camera roll. Going to try just posting a picture after posting this).

BTW:These are our first chickens, we also have 8 ducks....we do want farm fresh eggs, but want a bird that's going to interact with us and be our pet also. I think we kind of lucked out that our pretty impulsive buy, brought us the perfect breed for us. Their so friendly and seem to love when we handle them!

Bantams are not a breed, it is a size. Many breeds can come in regular size and bantam size and some that come in only one size. Can't wait to see the pictures!

WoW, you all at BYC are super fast in responding! That's awesome the forums are so alive!

Well, that makes a lot of since for why I'm not able to find very much information on Bantam chickens, thank you Chicken Girl1!

Finally, here are some pics! Sorry some are crooked and not the best, hope they help.

This friendly chickling that flew right up to my friends head, kind of looks like the Mille Fleur Bantam pictures I found.

What's the verdict?
