Hen has started laying (4 eggs ) in 6 days

yes I have 3 hens a year old and a year old rooster.. I just found the problem this morning. A VERY LARGE BLACK SNAKE IS CAUGHT IN THE WIRE CAGE. I now have 7 eggs, How long before we get chicks?

so you killed the snake? good they eat eggs lol

is one of your hens broody?
do you have an incubator?

eggs take 21 days approx, from laid to hatching, but need to have a hen sitting on them or be in an incubator
