hi everyone,
my peacock and my peahen started to be aggressive....to me! they try, and sometimes they do it. to attack me! they are 2 years old and they live free in our propriety why they do this? they hurts....is not nice!

They alwyas lived free in the garden since they were babies. There were, and some days they still be, very friendly ( they eat from hands, they sits near you in the garden, if i don't close the door they want to came inside the house!!) how can i manage this? If they want to be not "friendly" and just hanging in the propriety its good for me but being attacked every day is not nice!!!

i tought that breeding season was spring time not autumn, anyway i'll wait, maybe when they'll be full grown they'll get calm....

That'd be why then, the train growing out is the time when the male's testosterone levels start going up and the hens ovaries begin to develop and mature. A big trend that I've noticed is when peas are raised in close contact with people or are very tame they can become aggressive towards people since they view people as peacocks and treat us as such. Usually it's more of an issue with green peafowl but even india blues can be culprits. You can try carrying a spray bottle around to remind him whose boss and as ridiculous as it sounds blowing air through your teeth so you make a ttthhh noise usually makes them think twice because it sounds like hissing.

thank you for the suggestion!! i'll do it!! yeah they have been grown as "pet" since the first day! i bought them from a breeder on february and they were grown as pet. since the first they were friendly as parrots! i think is like you said, they see us like peacocks!
