I'm thinking about putting a birdbath deicer in a five gallon bucket this winter for the chickens. Does anyone have any brands they recommend? The winter temperatures get into the 20s here. How much wattage would be enough? Thanks!

The bird bath deicer works great for what you are wanting. It is how I water mine throughout the winter and it gets -25 at times here. Works well. Make sure it is plastic safe. I personally have allied precision product brand deicers but that's just what I have available to me.
