Got some EE chicks in a dog kennel turned into a coop till there older. I got a sun visor that is a wind break and whenever I checked it this morning there was holes in it. Any ideas what was trying to get them?

Got some EE chicks in a dog kennel turned into a coop till there older. I got a sun visor that is a wind break and whenever I checked it this morning there was holes in it. Any ideas what was trying to get them?
It could also be the EEs pecking at the visor.
For me my first assumption is always coon or skunk.
I would definitely get something different to put there. If it is a coon especially they will stick their paw through the kennel if there is a large enough hole and grab birds. Or he will unlock the kennel.
For some reason people underestimate coons but I've had them open doors with knobs and throw rocks through windows.

I was thinking more a possum or a rat because there's no raccoons or skunks where I live which is in the city

Raccoons commonly will venture into the city at night. Possums and rats is also likely.
Either way I would keep the birds somewhere safer as all of those animals could easily get to the birds through a dog kennel

You could get a trail cam and place it by your coop and see what's trying to get in.
