I placed my chick order and of course I'm very excited but don't have anyone in "real life" to share my excitement with! So go ahead and share what you ordered, who from, when you're expecting them, and any other info you want to share!

My order from Cackle Hatchery ships next month! I am getting 5 Spangled OEGBs, 5 Crele OEGBs, 5 splash Rosecombs, 4 EE girls, 1 EE boy, and 3 Appenzeller Spitzhaubens. :) there will be a total of ~38 chicks because I shared the order with a couple other local people to help with shipping costs.

Mine ships in March from GFF, there are 5 Blue Birchen Marans, 5 Isbars, 7 Twentse, 7 Niederrheiner, and 6 Bielefelder (2 boys, 4 girls) coming. Crazy excited! Usually I do hatching eggs from others who have ordered through them, but this time we could go direct to the source!

You'll like those Bantams, my favorite breed growing up were OEGB. Don't expect too many eggs from the Spitzhauben, but they're neat!

I ordered 16 from My Pet Chicken to ship on May 22.

1 EE pullet
2 white crested blue polish pullets
3 standard blue cochin pullets
1 standard blue cochin rooster
1 blue laced red Wyandotte pullet
1 blue laced red Wyandotte rooster
1 barnevelder pullet
2 silver laced standard Cochin pullets
1 buff Orpington pullet
2 buff chantecler pullets
1 blue splash Maran pullet

Wow! What a great assortment! Are you planning to do any breeding?

I love OEGBs. They are my favorite breed. Right now I have red Pyle, Mille Fleur, silver duckwing, and BB Red (one of each). I recently got some Cochin bantams and I really like them too. I am excited about the rosecombs, though I don't know much about them. I like their different look.

Those blue birchin Marans are beautiful. Right now I have two blue, three wheaten and a splash.

The Spitzhauben I mainly for for looks. I really don't eat many eggs so I'm okay with ornamental breeds and tiny bantam eggs lol

That's a good variety. Are you adding to your flock or starting fresh?

I have one order coming from Murray Murray, and one from My Pet Chicken. Total of 23 for pets/eggs, one free, rare chick from Murray, and 10 males that will be given to a neighbor for meat. So excited!

I have 8 coming from Meyer in mid April. The wait is already killing me. All are going to be pullets for my little egg layer flock.

I got:
1 Speckled Sussex
1 EE
1 Buff Orpington
1 Blue Cochin
1 Light Bramah
1 Welsummer
1 Australorp
1 Columbian Wyandotte

I'm excited, I wanted a varied flock with different egg colors.
