Are those tree stumps?

My My My you are handy/crafty!

Yep cedar cants there about 52" Tall. Yep we both are. What you don't see was they were cut in halve on a bandsaw.. Then a 4" channel was cut in the middle and they were bolted back together and hand painted then a spar coat was put on them. Samantha did all the carvng. Our son and I painted them over a course of a month.

The black is blackjack 57 roofing paint. I got it from lowes. The rest is oil based paint from a old project .............................

Awesome!
Was hoping you'd post the project from which all the colors came from.
What tools used to carve...powered or hand driven?

Well mainly we use chainsaws. a 4" angle grinder with sandpaper mounted on it and a dremel. She does have a Makita oversized looking dremel too. But that's is the main carving tools.
now my list of tools are a little longer but I don't carve.

I mainly build just these..........................

Samantha is really know for these..........................................

Those 'dremels on steriods' are pretty crazy....and a little scary.
