I agree the big legs were making me think cockerel, but for how feathered out they are, there's not much comb.
they have a kind of leggy, lean look like a game bird. I'm pretty sure they're barnyard mixes, possibly mixes of mixes so who knows. You might post pics again in a month or so, see if there are more identifiable traits then.
