Apple Cider Vinegar for Chicks?

My wife and I are going shopping, I just added Braggs ACV to our list. I am thrilled with all the knowledge I am gaining from this blog. I have experience in raising cattle on my Grandfather's farm in Maine but my Grandparents didn't have chickens when I was old enough to spend my summers there. Now, 44 years later, I am living on a property that is workable (21 acres) and I am diving head first into baby chicks, my wife had helped a neighbor with chickens when she was growing up but that was years ago.

Thank you everyone for creating this knowledge base and keep up the good work! Sincerely, Bob Tuttle

Make sure you are feeding your chickens plain yogurt with active live cultures. I make my yogurt in the crock pot over night and all it cost me is a quart of whole milk. Very easy.

The sugar and artificial flavors are not good for the chickens.
Wait....you just put a quart of whole milk in the crock pot overnight and it turns into yogurt?? Sorry in advance if I sound stupid.

I want to hear more about the yogurt too! Is there something else added to the milk? I know my chicks would love it and if I could make it easily, all the better!

I drink ACV in a tea every night before bed. Hot herbal tea, ACV, and honey. You can even add lemon. It is a great cleanser and helps you to sleep better. Also, it helps to calm your nerves.

I would imagine that it may help to make chickens to calm down a bit as well. Don't know for sure. Just a thought.
Def gonna try this!
