Yeah, I got 42 birds for 60.95, that's $1.45/bird. That's including two turkeys and two ducks. I'll play again next year.

At best you will pay 120-130is per bird if you are REAL lucky. from a hatchery

Cackle Surprise on sale on their home page for $58 & free shipping thru 5/17/13........Sounds like most everyone has been happy with their contents.........Waiting impatiently for mine....
I ordered mine last week and some chicks of my choice... They will arrive on May 22 ... I can't wait!!!!!! They were VERY nice and extremely helpful when I called with questions.

You really can't beat the deal. I ended up with 47 chicks, a gosling, a duckling and a poult. And the $60 includes the shipping.
I would do this it sounds amazing but I really only raise bantams and I want ducks...I'm afraid of geese!!! Do you think they would do a majority of bantams if I asked nicely? Lol

I think the Surprise is made up of the odd lots left over at the end of the day. You get what you get. That is why it is a bargain price. And why it is a surprise. My neighbor goes to Cackle Hatchery when they are getting ready to shut down for the season. You would be amazed at the bargains he brings home then.
It's a good thing I don't live anywhere near a hatchery.
