How long can a rooster fertilize eggs?

This may sound like a strange question but does anyone know how long a rooster is viable for fertilizing eggs? (Age-wise)

Thanks!

Wow, that is a good question......I never even thought of that!

I wonder if keeping a rooster viable with the right food helps? Like protein for the ladies for egg production.....? What does a roo need to keep him up and running?

I dont know either! But a roo is a male, so he probably doesnt go bad, like all other men he can probably mate with success til he dies!hmm

That is hilarious! I wondered if it might be that way - able to fertilize until they die... it would be interesting to find out though.
