Hi all, I've had some health issues that have kept me mostly offline for some time, and to be honest I haven't even tried to catch up on _this_ list yet. Slogging through the Chickenstock list has tired me out, LOL... I hope I am well enough to come to that, it has been on my calendar since it was first announced.
In other news, I have a Bantam Wyandotte that just went hell bent for broody. I'm wondering if anyone in the Binghamton vicinity has a few fertile eggs I can slip under the little wretch ~"Tho' she be little, she is fierce!"
Also, I got this bird from the Ithaca TSC swap last October, (I also got the gorgeous blue Orp, Bob the Rooster -now rehomed to CHICKEN GIRL15 from this breeder). The little hen was supposed to be Banty Wyandotte (Buff Columbian) and I recall the breeder saying that the color didn't come up like she had wanted. I'm under the impression that the breeding project was called off -(dang it, I should have taken the couple of others from that batch, they are platinum blonde with just a little black on the tail, just beautiful). Is that breeder on this list? Does anyone know the breeder who produces the drop-dead gorgeous Blue Orpingtons in the Ithaca area? If my ChickenCanary is the only one of her kind, that's OK, but I would be interested in one or two more bantam Wyandottes to keep her company ,(pullets please, town ordinance forbids roos/crowing).
Bonus round: anybody got fertile BANTAM Wyandotte eggs?
