What is the secret to a good dunky egg?
(A dunky egg is technically a fried egg over medium)

I either overcook them, break the yolks, or mess em up
in some way. I cooked 12 eggs tonight and only 5 came out ok.
The dogs were VERY happy.

do you need me to come show you how to make a good dunkie egg???

on the griddle

Are you frying those in butter? What temp? Do you flip them? That
third pic looks like a medium done, sunny side up.

Over medium is my favorite and no one can make them just right except me. My husband won't even try to make me a egg! lol I don't want any brown crust or over cook yolk. I want the white cook and the yolk runny. Yum Yum. When I eat out I just tell them scrambled because they never get it right.

small fry pan with lid. med heat. just a sliver of butter put in egg put in maybe a tablespoon of water, put on lid cook maybe 3 minutes, slide out of pan onto plate then dunkie away. If you have to flip just turn over for short time then slide out of pan and enjoy.

I use oil and a SPOON

Seriously, crack the egg into the hot oil, and I then use the spoon to scoop over the hot oil to cook the top.

I always BURN butter..... oil works much easier for me.... and the spoon is awesome, don't have to mess with trying to flip the egg or move it around or anything....
