Actually they are really healthy, not sure what happened to yours? They can get mites that hide in their crests. Most people forget to look there when dusting or washing their birds.

Wow, nice pics! I really like the show pics, too. I think it's a great "hobby" to have. With everything you hear in the news, life can really be depressing. But then I walk out into my chicken coop, and see my sweet innocent chickens, and it makes the world just seem better, honestly. I just wish some people would find a rewarding hobby, like we do, instead of putting their energy into non-productive, and harmful things. Anyway... Back to Silkies!!!

Not the best pic - they sort of seem to blend in with the wall behind them.

I have various chickens - including "RIRs", Turkens, Silkies, and EEs, Anconas, Cornish, Brown Leghorns, etc. I always have some sort of project going on - right now we're raising a batch of meaties. 4 rescued dogs. 4 rabbits, including 2 English Angoras! We also are branching out to Turkeys - right now 4 BBB, but 4 Midget White Turkeys are on the way!

Since you are so close you show venture down to Delmarva in DE (march 6th) or Susquehanna Bel Air MD(march 21) shows and check out all the birds there.
