Russian Orloffs

Pics
Nicholas...I may be TOTALLY wrong since I'm not "familiar" with Kummer's stock...but I think you've got 2 pullets. Their legs look "girlish" to me...not very thick like most Orloff roos. And they appear to carry themselves low in comparison to a rooster. But bear in mind...I'm basing my opinion on my own personal experience. Please keep us posted.

I will certainly keep you posted. pullets would be fine with me, now i just hope i get a good roo from your eggs.

It will be nice to have something to compare to, and hopefully continue to help bring this breed out of its critical status.
Take care and
have a wonderful day

Hello Everyone,
My name is Beck. I recently ordered some russian orloffs chicks. I have a total of 17 that are about 3 weeks old that came from Texas. I recently hatched 3 russian orloffs one is for sure mahogany in color and the other two i'm not sure. I ordered them from Kummer farms.I have a total of 20 russian orloff chicks for now.
They are protected by my Sarplaninac livestock guardian.

We can't wait to see pics of your Orloffs.

BTW I checked out your LSG and they are very beautiful. It's great to learn about new dog breeds.

ETA: It's a new dog breed for me. I read they are a very old breed and very impressive.

seeing pics of everyone's birds!

If anyone in the MI area is interested, I have a nice pair of juvenile spangleds for sale. I suppose I could ship, but it would take a really tall box. The cockerel stands VERY upright and is quite tall...I'd hate to have to squish him down into an average size box.

what was the determination on feathers between the toes? is this good or bad? I don't know why i hadn't noticed it before, but both of mine have them, small white feathers (mostly on the webbing) between their toes.
