The teachers do not have the incubator yet so I will not be coming up to Dunnellon tomorrow but I will keep in touch on this board and hopefully bring naked necks into the lives of many a student very soon.

I didn't think I would enjoy chickens as much as I do. Now, just stop the freeloading and give me an egg.

However, our good news is we only spent about $50 on a chicken run, and that is with using hardware cloth $30, $10 hinges and lock, $8 screws, and less than $10 in lumber. We used 1 and 3/4 x 1 and 3/4 wood from the back of lowes (un treated) and made a 6x4 so it will maximize the hardware cloth. This isn't a forever solution, but Only about $10 is really throwaway material so I am good with that :) We will have to work on a real coop, but this will get us through the next month or so.
