Washing a white chicken for show? What am I doing wrong???

I have no idea what's she's been into...my husband thinks maybe I didn't wash the shampoo out well enough...I'll try to wash her again tonight and maybe tomorrow night--maybe just her head since the rest of the body is still okay....maybe another two washings will lighten it a little bit more? I have Spray & wash...so I'll try that! Thanks!

Here's my big mean rooster getting ready for fair time. I used the tide with bleach substitute, vinegar, rinse method. He looks a million times better, but still some tinges of yellow, not entirely snowy white, but I'll do another spot clean before he goes Wednesday. It was funny how he changed from a tough guy to a pathetic wet chicken :) didn't try to peck me at all!
