I would suggest you acquire some exhibition quality large fowl Orpington or Cochin chicks or hatching eggs. By the time you have spoiled the chicks and they have grown into huge giant roosters, they will be so attached to you and you to them, you would not be afraid.

I will be on/off BYC. If we owe you hatching eggs, please forward us the listing information. We are almost caught up on them and do not wish to miss anyone. Geese are now laying!

Welcome drprice to the Arkansas corner of BYC, from southeast Arkansas here.

Does anyone have a Beltsville Small White Tom available?

Hi everybody! I'm not in Arkansas, but pretty close. I just started out with chickens this month. Got some Delaware and Silkie chicks on the 11th and then 4 RIR hens on the 18th. I lost my first chick (silkie) a few days ago. I'll tell you right now I have a lot of learning and toughening up to do. Anyway, I thought I'd post and invite you northern Arkansas peeps to join the Chicken Swap of Missouri facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/225021300913860/. I travel to Little Rock, Harrison, and Eureka Springs pretty regularly, so I'd love to see some people from Arkansas in the group.

Hello, Madabtchickens!! Welcome to BYC!  I'm at Jasper, AR, just south of Harrison.  Good to see someone close.  Do you have another link than facebook to the chicken swap?
