I was wondering will Hatcheries label what kind and/ color of the breed of chicks we received? I read somewhere Ideal Poultry does it, but not 100% sure if i'm wrong or right. Also what about Meyer Hatchery do they offer taht service to their patrons? I'm asking because I recently place an order with both of them and order a fair to a good amount of chicks. I'm not sure if I will be able to distinguish which is one is what.

Meyer does not label breeds. I ordered a pullet assortment back in June and I'm still trying to identify a couple of them. I called Meyer and they said that they sort thousand of chicks on hatch day and don't have time to label or record what you get. I've never ordered from Ideal so I'm not sure about them. The only hatchery that I've ordered from that have labeled the chicks is Mt. Healthy.

Hi all. I know this is an old post, but was curious if anyone knew of hatcheries that label breeds on variety orders? I do know that MyPetChicken.com labels the assorted hatching eggs which is super nice (great company to work with by the way.)

Appears Meyers & McMurray do not label...Just curious if anyone knows of breeds that label varieties.

Thanks!
