They should name this "color variation" Facebook since that seems to be its natural habitat.

I was able to bring up the blog posts on my phone, but not on my computer, sadly, and it's too hard to transfer between the two. Anyway, there's a cute young woman named Joy, posting about the bird, whose name is apparently "Lucky" -- he's only ever referred to as a "white peacock" in the blog postings. Lots of Chinese "sayings" interspersed with photos of the bird. It also says "Le Dai Park" and elsewhere, something about "Shoushan Zoo." In the side and rear photos, it appears as though all the wing feathers are buff -- contrasting with the white butt fluff, and even still look buff colored in the sunlight.

I think I actually used search by image after clicking on the photo on my phone (after going to the weblink). I've bookmarked the page so I can find it again. It actually translated pretty well. I think it is just Joy, blogging about the bird. I managed to find a blog page of hers with lots of posts, but couldn't quickly find this one on the page... no time to play with it anymore today

I'm still not certain whether the eyes are colored or just dirty/stained/growing algae, but it is in the middle, not out at the ends. There are also lighting artifacts on the photos from the glass, perhaps, or a filter, or who knows what -- when you find the bank of thumbnails of the photos, you can see the green light pooling in the picture. But I don't think that is solely responsible for whatever is causing the coloration effect on the eyes, and it is definitely not responsible for the buff colored wing feathers, which are pretty darned interesting in themselves... Maybe someone else can manage to import those pix and the translations? When I have more time, I'll try to research the zoo names.

Anyway, I'd like to see what color this pea was if he got scrubbed down with some Shout and a little Joy detergent

The second picture is more interessant !
Is it a dream of an artist .... the representation of a mythical bird or painting of a bird that has existed?

I think it's bird existed.
Is the artist an expert of peacock and why has he painted the peacock's legs in white? because, I think he painted what he saw !
This painting is like the discovery of genetics .... a same bird can exist in different colors as two peonies can exist in two different colors!

The mystery continues here .... why was he with blue legs?( other artist ! ).

...... Peacock and pines. ..... always those peonies !

And this one with white leggs :

Further evidence that this peacock existed .... with another artist who can look!

These white lines in the eye of the peacock feathers .... well known by the breeders with the mutation white eyes ... an artist can 't imagine that!

I think he painted what he saw !

We could create this pattern with IB ?
With IB Silver pied ► .... NO.... We seek the opposite .... colored eyes!
With IB Pied ► .... NO.... 99.995 % of the pied peacock have totaly WHITE feathers on the center of the tail .... White feathers with never colored eyes !

Even with reverse pied peacock ..... always white feathers in the center of the tail !( + too much color everywhere !).

I have a headache !

I believe I once read something about a white peacock with colored eyes that was rumored to exist in private aviaries in China. However there was no proof/photos of them.
????? I've a doubt! ... In China they don't have yet, the mutation IB Black Shoulder!

I find a picture on the net .... very rare new color :

.... totally white with some blue spots.Shame there is only one picture.

probably his brother .... eyes and saddle colorful ... What are the genes that could produce it ?
